What Star Wars Fans Have To Be Thankful For in 2017
2017 has been one heck of a year. We have seen so many new and exciting things emerge just for us. We have seen Porgs, books galore, and a new film debuting in less than 1 month! Let's take a look at what we have been blessed with this year as Star Wars fans.
Movies: First of all, we will be getting a new film every year for the foreseeable future. Last December, it was Rogue. This year...yeah. We will finally get to hear Luke Skywalker speak! Woot woot! The next chapter in the Skywalker series continues, and we could not be more excited. We also got our first looks at Solo and discover Rian Johnson will be heading a new trilogy in an "unexplored" section of the universe. Can we get some Old Republic up in here, please!?
Fandom Creation: There are sooo many sites with soooo many awesome fans writing, blogging, podcasting, and creating art all for the fandom. These are amazing pieces that are too numerous to name.
Books: I don't actually feel the need to explain this one. Leia, Phasma, and From A Certain Point Of View to name a few. Read, fandom. Read like the wind!
Rebels: We have seen an awesome season so far in Rebels, and I have every reason to believe that will continue. We have finally seen our Loth-Wolf and will, hopefully, get some answers on where the heck Ahsoka is. Will we lose Kanan? Ezra? Half the crew? I can't wait to find out.
Fandom: We have an amazing fandom. Appreciate it.
Future of the Force: This one is a little personal to me as I am a member of the crew, but seriously. I started my own blog back in August and fell in love with writing about Star Wars. I was convinced that no one would want to read my material, especially with so many amazing writers out there already. I was wrong. Then, on a whim, I found FotF and asked to be a writer. I got the go-ahead a week later, and that was that. Since then, I feel like we have come so far and gotten to put out some amazing material. With a new site launching this week, it will only go up-hill from here.
