Han Shot First, But Did He Light The Saber?
OK, the newest theory is that Han Solo lit Kylo/Ben's lightsaber to spare his son the darkness of doing it himself, therefore keeping alive the spark of light left.
Let's take a look....
Here is the original shot going around:

I see a few issues. First off, after watching the scene again several times, you see Han's hand on Kylo's lightsaber.

Notice it is his right hand and it's nowhere near the ignition switch. Now might also be a good time to let everyone know that a non-Force sensitive user can turn on a lightsaber. In the same movie Finn uses Luke's saber. Han cuts a TanTan open to keep Luke warm on Hoth and a couple characters during The Clone Wars are shown igniting lightsabers.
Moving on.
4 seconds after we see Han's hand on the lightsaber, this happens.

Notice, his right hand is now down. Also, you can see that Kylo's hands are the only ones on the hilt. Add in the fact that Kylo thrusts upwards as soon as the blade is fully ignited and you have yourself a broken theory. Sorry guys. It seems like Kylo killed his dad after all.
